Meet Sadah, Again: This Is What She Looks Like

TR

I know it’s been some time since I’ve had much to say over yonder, but I thought I would pop on by and say hello.

It’s been a very busy place in the land of Danika and Oliver, and way more than I could ever fit into an individual blog post. Nevertheless, I wanted to take the time to come and share a big moment for us. (more…)

Kurt Kathan, the accidental king of Gwenaelle. A man who has everything that any adventurer could dream of having, and unsure of what to do with it.

Sadah Loc, the woman from the land draped in near perpetual darkness. A beautiful songstress who can no longer sing.

Piotr Carlyle, a rather unremarkable boy with a remarkable ability to change the world. Yet he has no desire to do so.

Strange phenomena known as Twists litter the world of Su Nobieta, taking common place things and morphing them into seemingly impossible realities. Through chance, young Piotr is bestowed the power to undo the horrors that these Twists have wrought.

This is the journey of these three fated individuals, each deeply scarred by a harsh world. They will uncover the secrets of the Twists, the nature of the Gods of creation, and most importantly, discover themselves. (more…)

The Twisted World: A Cavalcade of Information

triskwp

It’s been a while since we’ve had anything to say on The Twisted World, but fear not! It’s been going well. In fact, we have plenty of information to share with you today:

  • The Twisted World: The Dusk Harbinger will be available on August 17th 2013, only on Amazon. And because I keep my promises, that first weekend that it is available, it will be FREE. Zero, zilch. You won’t pay a single cent.
  • You can now be fashionable in advance with jewelry featuring the triskelion of the Twisted World (that’s that helpful little image up top). Earrings are available, as well as a necklace, and very reasonably priced. I suggest you check them out. Each set is made TO ORDER, and produced through 3D printing and not an assembly line.
  • On the social media front, we’ve got a handy facebook page available for the series proper, and for an extra bit of fun there’s an entire group where you can participate with other fans in ongoing discussions about the series. And yes, we participate in this group, so if you ever wanted to hang out with us and pick our brains, here’s your opportunity.

The paperback of the book has no FIRM ETA set at this time, but it won’t be too much longer after the digital ebook release (at most, a few weeks). This is to ensure that it is of the highest quality possible.

If you’re not excited yet, this is a GREAT time to be. Kathan, Sadah, and Piotr are waiting for you.

~Oliver

Meet Sadah from The Twisted World

The following is a sample from the first part of our soon to be released fantasy novel series, The Twisted World.

The Aframi are from Afram, also known as the Dark Continent in the world of Su Nobieta. The world of Su Nobieta is interesting because it bears not one, but five moons that orbit it. Because of this strange phenomenon, Afram happens to be positioned in just the right place to where it is cloaked in almost perpetual darkness year round, save for a small seasonal window. Normally the Aframi live in caves deep below the surface of their land as it is safer, but the most vicious of creatures retreat during that seasonal time, and the Aframi come top side.

Meet A “Twist” from The Twisted World

The following is a sample from the first part of our soon to be released fantasy novel series, The Twisted World.

Twists are… strange things. Some are beautiful, some are peculiar, and others are flat out dangerous. They are localized phenomenon that can appear without warning practically anywhere, and usually cannot be seen, touched, or smelled.

Typically, the only way to detect a twist is to see what kind of effect it has on the local environment, and carefully marking its location to warn others.

Rabbit in the Road Anniversary Freebie Giveaway: The Customer Is Not Always Right, But Is Most Important

You get a Rabbit and you get a Rabbit and WE ALL GET RABBITS! YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAH!*
*Oprah totally did not read this book, does not endorse it, and probably has no clue what it is. But photoshop hilarity is fun.

This weekend is the 1 year anniversary of Rabbit in the Road being released (specifically, October the 14th)! Because of that, I thought it would make good sense for us to come out of our hidey-holes and talk and do some fun stuff!  I decided that the best course of action would be to… give it to you guys for free again all weekend! That’s right, same as before. No catches, no funny stuff. Just go grab it and enjoy it (and by the way, I’ve already seen what it looks like on the Kindle Fire HD; it looks FANTASTIC).

But there’s more! We also decided to drop the price of the paperback PERMANENTLY to $9.99! Wow! (more…)

An Anniversary Missed and Surgery

So it appears that our 1 year anniversary of running this blog was last month. Whoops! Super exciting, but we missed it for a good reason.

Interpretation

The interesting thing about this image is that many people believe that it spins to the left. Others are adamant that it spins to the right. The truth of the matter is, the image in fact spins both directions. There is not enough information presented to determine beyond a shadow of a doubt that the woman depicted is spinning in one direction. If you simply relax your eyes and imagine that she is spinning in the opposite direction of what you are currently interpreting it, she WILL spin in that direction.

Reader Ted G. wrote in to Danika and I, with an interesting point of view about Rabbit in the Road that I wanted to share with you folks. Ted writes:

“We all agreed that most people read it as Bevie being the victim, only changing at the end of the book. This was the big surprise ending for all of us. It seemed that in that final confrontation, Bevie simply had had enough of her life being upturned all the time and saw a way out.

But, we all agreed that it can be read with Bevie in the roll of villianess from almost the very beginning. It could be argued that it was she using/manipulating Ray. Also her continual callous treatment of her boyfriends is evidence of a less than stellar moral fortitude. She manipulates these men to get what she needs, then abandons them all at the drop of a hat.” (more…)
